As a Drama teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring and engaging students in the world of performing arts. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging and inclusive drama lessons to primary and secondary students
- Foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence in students through drama activities and performances
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement drama curricula that align with the school's goals and objectives
- Assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for their development
- Organize and oversee drama productions, showcases, and other extracurricular activities
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and teamwork
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and engagement in drama
- Bachelor's degree in Drama or a related field
- Relevant teaching qualification and/or experience teaching drama to primary and/or secondary students
- Thorough knowledge of drama techniques, theories, and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Enthusiasm for drama and the performing arts, with the ability to inspire and engage students
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
