B-spokes Deliveries Limited is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Operational Site Lead. In this role, you will support the Operational Site Lead in managing the daily operations of a busy parcel distribution depot. The ideal candidate will excel in collaboration, possess strong organizational skills, and have a genuine interest in enhancing the efficiency and success of our operational team.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Support:
- Assist in overseeing daily depot operations to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with the Operational Site Lead to optimize resource allocation and workflow efficiency.
- Support the delivery and improvement of key operational metrics, performance indicators, and service levels.
- Effectively communicate operational performance to internal teams and clients.
- Adhere to health and safety and security procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
Client Interaction:
- Engage with clients to understand their specific operational requirements and contribute to maintaining positive client relationships.
- Work with the Operational Site Lead to address client concerns and implement service enhancements.
Team Collaboration:
- Foster a cohesive and collaborative working environment by working closely with depot staff.
- Provide leadership support and serve as a point of contact alongside the Operational Site Lead.
Data Management:
- Assist in collecting and analyzing operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports on key operational metrics for review and decision-making.
Resource Coordination:
- Support the management of personnel, equipment, and facilities to meet operational demands.
- Collaborate with the Operational Site Lead to implement safety measures and ensure regulatory compliance.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Actively participate in identifying opportunities for process improvement and contribute to implementing operational enhancements.
- Stay informed about industry developments and integrate relevant best practices into daily operations.
Problem-Solving:
- Assist in addressing operational challenges and implementing corrective actions to maintain smooth operations.
- Support the resolution of escalated issues and ensure timely communication of solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field
- Experience in a relevant operational role within the parcel delivery or logistics industry is advantageous.
Must have:
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary.
- Proficiency in data analysis and basic knowledge of analytics tools.
