Therole

From our Falmouth Hub, wedesign, build, and operate bespoke over water drilling equipmentand you will have opportunities to gain experience both in theworkshop and field to see our equipment in action hand to fullyunderstand its purpose and enhance your knowledge andexperience.

As a Yard and PaintOperative, you will be responsible for ensuringworkshop operations and movements are completed in safe and timelyfashion by working closely with the Yard Supervisor and the paintdepartment, actively contributing to health and safety on site andpromoting a positive culture.

The duties of therole include Loading and Unloading Lorries, slinging loads, bankingcranes, operating plant and ensuring equipment is loaded/moved intodesignated storage areas. You will also learn blasting, stripecoating and airless paint spraying of new build drilling equipmentor the R&M of existingplant.

Who we're lookingfor:

Fugro is looking for a Yardand Paint Operative that has experience working in a busy yard, hasan in-depth understanding of plant operation and aninterest/previous experience in Industrial Painting and Blasting.You are also expected:

  • Tohave excellent communicationskills.

  • To have a keenwillingness and drive to learn and develop into thisrole.

  • To have a minimumGCSE's in English, Maths andScience.

  • To have a positivecan-do attitude to work in a busyenvironment.

  • Full UK Drivinglicence.

  • Forklifttruck/Telehandler operationsexperience.

  • A CSCS Cardholder, First Aider, Slinger/signaller experience isdesirable.
