Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the central Corporate Cancer Services team.

The main duties are to provide detailed Cancer Waiting Times (CWT) pathway analysis, identifying and remedying any data anomalies (validation) in order to ensure Trust compliance with national targets. To investigate CWT breaches and suggest improvements to pathways and to manage the Trust CWT escalation process.

The post-holder will gain significant experience in the central management of cancer waiting times. This is an opportunity to build on existing cancer waiting times knowledge and expand your technical and analytical skills.

You will join a small corporate team that has contact with a wide range of cancer services within the trust as well as building relationships with referring organisations within the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Cancer Alliance.

Main duties of the job

Provide detailed Cancer Waiting Times (CWT) pathways analysis, identifying and remedying any data anomalies (validation) in order to ensure Trust compliance with national targets.

Identify ways to improve CWT data collection processes.

Identify, design and implement processes which eliminate duplication of data collection.

To provide training, advice and support to staff in relation to CWT guidance and policies.

Produce regular and ad hoc reports of CWT performance.
