Job overview

A full time opportunity has arisen to join our team of Lead Rota Coordinators in the Medicine and Emergency Care division at MTW.

To be successful in this challenging role, you will have excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills with the ability to work with a positive and solution focused attitude. This will enable our team to ensure effective rotas are in place to deliver a safe, efficient and effective operational clinical services.

Main duties of the job

To support the operational day to day running of the service including the design and implementation of systems and processes to achieve this, in particular:

· To monitor and co-ordinate all medical / nursing rotas across the Directorate

· To co-ordinate, log and monitor all types of leave for medical/ nursing staff

· To act as the first point of contact for issues relating to Junior Doctors or nurses (e.g. annual leave, study leave, shift swaps, locum / bank cover).

· To compile absence spread sheets and conduct back to work interviews with Jnr doctors.

· Responsible for maintaining Patchwork Roster and Patchwork Bank applications

Level of knowledge/specialist knowledge required as a minimum, i.e. if no qualification what experience/knowledge is required to undertake the role, i.e. is it equivalent to a recognised qualification, etc Required training/courses undertaken Databases and computerised records eg: PAS, Rostering ststems Experience of line managements or supervision of staff
