Main duties of the job

This role plays a crucial part in Triage of families into our service.

Conduct assessments to identify the needs of children, young people, and adults requiring emotional wellbeing support. Deliver Therapeutic Intervention to children young people or adults within your professional discipline Support the developmentoftherapeutic support plans to respond to the needs identified. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and family practitioners to deliver coordinated and effective interventions. To maintain registration and accreditation of core professional body, fulfil clinical supervision requirements for role and attend mandatory training courses in line with Barnardo's policy

Essential criteria:

Professional qualification in health, counselling or therapy and be registeredwith their professional body Substantial relevant experience of therapeutic work with children, young people and adults with a goodunderstanding of the factors impacting on vulnerable families Experience of the planning, delivery and evaluation of creative/therapeutic work in statutory or voluntary services, community settings Knowledge of current legislation developments alongside a sound understanding of ethical practice issues Experience of applying safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.

We are seeking a skilledprofessional to join our dynamic team, the Therapeutic Practitioner role will have the duality of delivering interventions and undertaking assessments supporting holistic family wellbeing.

You willwork alongside service management and Clinical Leads, reporting to the Children's Service Manager.
