The shift pattern is Monday-Sunday, rotational 11.5 hour shifts.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Charge Nurse within Emergency Care and Medicine. We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate, experienced nurse to join the team within our 28 bedded gastroenterology ward at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
You will be responsible for working within the nursing and multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care delivered to a defined patient group. Competently perform all necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care the post holder has the responsibility for the assessment of care for this defined patient group.
Through continuous assessment of care needs, the post holder develops a programme of care, and through implementation and evaluation ensures the delivery of high quality care to patients within this clinical setting.
The post holder will be directly responsible to the SCN and work alongside same to ensure effective operation and safety of the department.
Knowledge, training and experience required:
Registered Nurses on the NMC Register Evidence of continued professional development and willingness to undertake further learning Minimum of 3 years’ experience at band 5 level Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent analytical and numerical skills Good IT knowledge and skills Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of a range clinical procedures and practices Knowledge of hospital policies/procedures and practices specific to the working environment Effective time management skills Ability to use initiativeDetails on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Packs.
