Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Integrated Specialist Public Health Nursing (ISPHN) service for a 18 month secondment ( until as a Clinical Team Leader to manage the East ISPHN teams and East Riding School Nursing Team. For external candidates a fixed term contract of 18 months until will be considered.

The role of the ISPHN Clinical Team Leader is diverse with opportunities to develop the new commissioned service as part of the wider leadership team. The Clinical Team Leader will manage two public health teams in one locality area ( North and South Holderness) and in addition lead on specialist areas. You will be responsible for providing clinical, professional, and organisational leadership ensuring delivery of the ISPHN service and supporting the team to meet required Key Performance Indicators for service monitoring. You will also lead on service delivery and provide support and advice on service development in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers, and other agencies across the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will manage staff across two ISPHN teams in one locality area ensuring that the Healthy Child Programme is delivered well, and work is managed safely across the teams. You will support staff wellbeing and ensure that practitioners have all essential resources and training to provide excellent care across the East Riding of Yorkshire.

We are looking for a motivated Health Visitor or School Nurse who is passionate about providing excellent services to families, children, and young people locally. We would like the successful candidate to have the experience and skills to develop areas of the service and to work within the wider leadership team to lead on projects and larger service development.

Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, Children Act, Social Inclusion Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area Good IT skills Mental Health legislation relevant to the clinical area Evidence of project work that has impacted on practice and demonstrates a higher level of communication/planning/change that impacts out of own area of work/responsibility

Member of specialist interest group/network, locally or nationally Specialist/advanced understanding/application of relevant managerial and leadership aspects of the service area Advanced/expert understanding of relevant clinical practice, standards and audits within identified clinical area . Qualifications

Essential

Current NMC professional registration of Qualified NMC Part 3 Register - annotated health Visitor or School Nurse Demonstrable experience of mentoring pre-registration students Educated to Masters Level or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experiential learning/experience Prepared to undertake or hold a recognised non-medical prescribing qualification, if required

Desirable

Teaching qualification (Practice Teacher) Advanced/expert clinical qualification Prepared to undertake or hold an accredited leadership qualification
