What we need in a nutshell
We need a hands-on Operations Manager to support and grow the Team at our Retallack Resort & Spa In this demanding and exciting role you will be the key driver in getting the ball rolling for our Park Team members
We're not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. Retallack Resort and Spa is a luxury spa resort and a lively water sports hub, wrapped up in a stunning countryside location close to the North Cornish coast.
What you'll be doing
We need you to be the person who delivers delight by developing, coaching and improving the performance of our Maintenance, Grounds and Hot Tubs team at Retallack, so that they play their part in our operational and guest experience success. You will identify commercial opportunities and provide the leadership to maximise them.
Working in a leadership role as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will:
Deliver KPIs and Operational Standards in our Maintenance, Grounds and Hot Tubs team through smart budget planning, an eye for commercial opportunities and leadership skills that motivate your teams to deliver. Communicate in a positive and appropriate way any business news to the team, ensuring and checking their understanding To Manage all sub-contractors grounds Support the delivery of our outstanding guest experience by providing strong leadership and motivation to permanent and seasonal team. Make decisions on recruitment, training, and disciplinary matters. Ensure Park standards meet with the expectations set out in the Operational Manuals. Develop close working relationships with the General Manager, Guest Experience Manager and other areas of the business. Be responsible for health and safety, ensuring the business meets its statutory obligations and that all team members receive relevant training. We are looking for a high calibre Operations manager, so you will need:
Previous experience as a Park Operations Manager, Park Services Manager or Guest Experience Manager. A proven track record in managing, leading, and developing teams. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. The ability to work under pressure and solve problems. Numerate and comfortable with financial management. Competent with IT and Technology. Procedurally Compliant. To be hands-on, self-motivated and ambitious, as well as having a large helping of common sense and a sense of humour.It's about your values too.
