Job Description 

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher looking for a new role? Step Teachers are working with an "Outstanding" Ofsted-rated Primary School in Potters Bar to find a Year 4 Teacher to join their team starting in September 2024 on a Long-term (Supply) position, the class is supported by Teaching Assistants. This school fosters a culture of inclusivity and everyone working together to support and inspire children, helping them grow into happy, kind and respectful young people with a passion for learning and life. 

Year 4 Teacher – Role:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons to Key Stage 2 pupils, following a pre-planned lesson structure provided by the school.
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom environment and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • The Year 4 Teacher must collaborate effectively with colleagues across the school to support student learning and development.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and monitor their academic growth.
  • Ensure compliance with the school's policies and contribute to maintaining a positive and safe educational atmosphere.

Year 4 Teacher – Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Have recent experience as a Year 4 Teacher in a primary school setting.
  • Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Year 4 Teacher must assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and monitor their academic growth.
