About theteam:

Youll be working as part ofa small passionate team in a handson role that gives vintagecameras and optical equipment another lease of life. The CameraTeam possesses a wealth of knowledge that enables them toaccurately sort test and list hundreds of cameras weekly creatingvaluable lots out of stock. The department is full of dailydiscoveries and learning opportunities as the team receives a widerange of unique stock from antique plate cameras to modern DSLRsand lenses.

About the role:

Our team is looking for a Camera& Optical Specialist with a strong work ethic and keenattention to detail to help unpack test and sell secondhand camerasbinoculars and other lensbased equipment ensuring each product issold on appropriate platforms.

As a Camera andoptical Specialist you will work closely with the team to achieveset KPIs contributing to an efficient and cooperative workingenvironment while using your initiative to advance your knowledgeand manage your own workload. You will also collaborate with theAppraisals Department to give an accurate market value of itemsbrought down to the department while having the confidence toidentify highervaluestock.

Keyresponsibilities:

  • Mustensure knowledge of all department key performance indicators suchas number of listings working with all members of the marketplaceteam to meet and exceed the KPItargets.

  • Takeresponsibility for their own specialist areas accurately sortingtesting and listing stock to ensure minimal backstock and theprioritisation of high valuelistings.

  • Createvaluable lots that will achieve the required income threshold asstipulated in the departmentsKPIs.

  • Takean active part in all departmental meetings and planning sessionsproviding feedback and suggestions where appropriate in theMarketplaceDepartment.

  • Describeeach listing with the appropriate level of detail and accuracy tocomply with departmentalexpectations.

  • Showenthusiasm for vintage items and a desire to expand your ownknowledge.



Essentialskills andexperience:

  • Abasic knowledge of camera & optical equipment isessential.

  • Being able toeffectively test the functionality of cameras andlenses.

  • Familiarity withdifferent online selling platforms likeEbay.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to work as part ofthe team to achieve common companygoals.

Desirableskills and nice tohaves:

  • Beingable to estimate the market value of the camerastock.

  • Previous experiencein online sales would bepreferable.

  • Good attentionto detail.

  • Having theconfidence to identify highervalueitems.

  • Ability to workindependently and prioritise workload.
