and main responsibilitiesApplicants must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for Dermatology as a career and prior experience working in Dermatology is desirable but not essential. There are opportunities to study and prepare for the MRCP examinations if required.
This post is ideally suited to those wishing to pursue a career in Dermatology, and our previous post holders have gained specialist experience and development of their CVs directly leading to successful application for higher specialist training.

MBChB or equivalent medical qualification Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council
Desirable criteria
Presentations/Publications MRCP or equivalent
Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude
Essential criteria
Clinical judgement: experience in making clinical decisions and managing risk. Knows when to seek help, able to prioritise clinical need. Practical skills: shows aptitude for practical skills and willing to learn basic skin surgery techniques Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft word and Outlook

Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice. Evidence of achievement of ST1/CT1 competences in a relevant specialty at time of application and likelihood of achieving ST2/CT2 competences in a relevant specialty by the start date of the post (or equivalent experience).
