Role Overview: This Clinical Fellow position is designed for those looking to advance their clinical and research expertise in Dermatology, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to pursue higher specialist training in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical care to dermatology patients.
- Engage in clinical research activities for two days each week.
- Conduct outpatient clinics and assist in minor skin surgery under senior supervision.
- Gain experience in managing both acute and chronic dermatological conditions, including skin cancer.
- Enhance skin surgery skills through practical experience.
- Collaborate with the Dermatology research team to facilitate clinical trials and research studies.

Qualifications:
- MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
- Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council.
- Demonstrated clinical judgment and risk management skills.
- Aptitude for practical skills and willingness to learn basic skin surgery techniques.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Prior experience in skin surgery is advantageous.
- Evidence of achieving Foundation competencies in line with GMC standards.
- Research experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- Genuine enthusiasm for a career in Dermatology.
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.
This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020, necessitating a Disclosure submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
