CONTROLS AND ASSURANCE ASSOCIATE

As a Bank we have plenty of policies, procedures and processes we must adhere to, but how do we make sure these are efficient and robust? This is where you come in Weatherbys Bank are looking for a Controls and Assurance Associate to help test our systems and processes to ensure they do exactly what they are meant to do, in terms of meeting our business needs and satisfying regulatory expectations.

You will join us on a full time, permanent basis in our Wellingborough office at least 3 days per week. Working alongside our Operational Quality team, you will have the opportunity to learn on the job, gain experience and expand your knowledge as the role evolves.

WHY JOIN US?

We are looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive 25 days annual leave. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

  • Undertake and document customer outcomes testing and independent risk and control assurance testing across area of responsibility.
  • Maintain and develop both the customer outcomes testing and the independent risk and control assurance testing processes.
  • Provide regular feedback to the business owners on customer outcomes and risk and control assurance testing, including key themes and areas of focus as well as agreeing action plans.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of regulatory expectations and the Bank's Operational Risk and Conduct Risk frameworks.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A logical and methodical thinking style is essential for this role.
  • The ability to question the business processes and help deliver pragmatic solutions.
  • Strong team ethic, but able to work on stand-alone projects with minimal supervision.
  • Able to appreciate the big picture, but whilst retaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a risk or compliance related role elsewhere would be desirable but is not essential.
