We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Whitworths Ltd. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and maintaining the highest standards of quality control.
Key Responsibilities- Audit all quality control procedures carried out in the factory to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Assist in the training of technical standards and SOPs to ensure that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining quality.
- Approve first production runs of new products to ensure that they meet quality standards.
- Liaise with finished goods and raw material warehouses to ensure that all products are properly tracked and stored.
- Identify and investigate any quality issues that arise, and work with the factory team to implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team to drive quality improvements and educate others on the importance of quality.
- Good working knowledge of COSHH, HACCP, and Food Safety standards, gained from working within a food manufacturing environment or within a technical function.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and investigate quality issues.
- Ability to think critically and logically, and to evaluate alternatives effectively.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to work effectively with the factory team and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve quality goals.
