PE (Physical Education) Teacher  

Location: Gateshead, Tyne and Wear   

Salary: £120 - £180 per day 

Start Date: September 2024  

Contract: Full time/ Part time

Are you enthusiastic about inspiring the next generation through physical education? GSL Education in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear  is seeking an experienced and passionate PE (Physical Education) Teacher to join our vibrant school community. This exciting opportunity is for one of our client schools in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear , starting in September 2024.

Job Summary: As a PE Teacher, your role will involve planning and delivering physical education lessons, promoting fitness, and encouraging healthy lifestyles. You’ll assess students’ abilities, provide constructive feedback, and organize sports activities while ensuring safety and inclusivity.

PE Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality physical education lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, offering personalized feedback to support individual development.
  • Organize and participate in extracurricular sports activities, events, and competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education across subjects, promoting a holistic approach to education.
  • Stay informed about current trends and developments in physical education, incorporating innovative teaching methods.

PE Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialization in Physical Education or a relevant subject area.
  • Experience as a PE Teacher is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting physical health and well-being in education.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
