The Role

As the Head of Finance, you'll work closely with and report directly to the Managing Director, playing a critical role in shaping iRock's financial future. You will provide strategic financial direction and oversee all aspects of financial management to ensure our organisation thrives. While you'll attend board meetings occasionally when required, your main focus will be to support the Managing Director in making financially sound decisions that align with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial direction and oversight to ensure the ongoing financial health and growth of the organization.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial and accounting matters, including cash flow management and statutory accounts.
  • Financial Planning and Strategy: Contribute to defining and implementing the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including timely filing of legal and regulatory documentation.
  • Financial Systems: Implement financial systems and policies to streamline operations and ensure efficient financial management.
  • Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities, manage budgets, and optimize working capital to drive efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks that could impact the company's performance, safeguarding its financial integrity.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to the Managing Director, ensuring transparency in financial performance.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and build a fully functioning finance team, motivating them to meet both individual and company objectives.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships across financial and non-financial teams, supporting senior management in informed decision-making.

What You Bring:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • A strong commercial mindset, with the ability to transform financial data into actionable insights
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, management accounts, and operations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Advanced analytical skills and high-level computer literacy
  • A proactive, positive, and problem-solving attitude

Working Hours:

  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility as needed to support the business

Salary:

  • Competitive, based on experience

Location:
Based at our Farnborough office, with potential for some remote working.
