3 GP Partners, 2Clinical Pharmacists, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 NursingAssociate, 1 GP Assistant, 1 Midwife Complimented with ARRS staffthrough the Whitfield PCN, enabling us to offer appointments with aPhysiotherapist, Social Prescriber, Mental Health Practitioner, Paramedic andDietician Full administrative support froma Practice Manager, Accounts Manager, Operations Manager, Data & Quality Lead, Clinical Governance Support Officer plus 10 other Administrators Long standing training practicewith an excellent reputation & support for continuing medical education andCPD time CQC rating of Good Research practice with goodlinks to Keele University High achiever in QoF/QIF Regular practice meetings forQoF/QIF, Palliative Care, PCN & Safeguarding Mix of face to face and telephoneconsultations with minimal home visits, using the appropriate member of theclinical team MPS/MDU professional fees paidup to an agreed amount, GMC fees covere Standard BMA Contract with termsand conditions including annual leave, bank holidays, maternity/paternityleave, allocated CPD time

Main duties of the job

Towork as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medicalservices to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard ofclinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.

Furthermore,the post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with themultidisciplinary team.

About us

The Practice has a list size of 8000 and all of ourappointments are booked by our experienced Care Navigation Team who ensure thatpatients are booked in with the right clinician, for their need, at the righttime. We utilise EMIS Web, Docman 10 and Accurz.

Job responsibilities

Job Title: Salaried GP

Overall responsibility: To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for theprovision of medical services to the practice population, delivering anexcellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.

Furthermore,the post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with themultidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job: The following are the core responsibilities of the SalariedGP. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; thiswill be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

The delivery of highlyeffective medical care to the entitled population The provision ofservices commensurate with the GMS contract Generic prescribingadhering to local and national guidance Effective managementof long-term conditions Processing ofadministration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks On a rotational basis,undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles Maintain accurateclinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance Work collaboratively,accepting an equal share of the practice workload Adhere to best practicerecommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process Contribute to thesuccessful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiativeswithin the practice Accept delegatedresponsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF Attend and contributeeffectively to practice meetings as required Contribute effectiveto the development and maintenance of the practice including clinicalgovernance and training Ensure compliance withthe appraisal process Prepare and completethe revalidation process Commit toself-learning and instill an ethos of continuing professional developmentacross the practice team Support the trainingof medical students from all clinical disciplines Support the partnersin achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations toenhance income and reduce expenditure Review and alwaysadhere to practice protocols and policies Encouragecollaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting aculture of continuous improvement Participate inpractice audits as requested Participate in localinitiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care Participate in thereview of significant and near-miss events applying a structured approach ,root cause analysis (RCA) Person Specification
