About the Business:

Addington Hostel has been providing housing for men for over 100 years. This is a 24-hour staffed, 88 bed hostel service based in Addington, Christchurch.

About the Role:

Support Workers are vital across all of our 24-hour rostered staff. They are the backbone of the staff team with at least 2 of them on every 8-hour shift, across the day and night.

What will your responsibilities be:

Medications to the men across the shift  Food services support Some cleaning and setting up rooms booking intake appointments Writing notes and following up with the men across the shift  Fire warden and first aid

Our ideal candidate will:

Must have completed their Level 4 Certificate of Health and Wellbeing (or approved equivalent)  Have at least 1 years' NZ experience in Support work (or equivalent) Mental health and/or Addiction work experience preferred Be able to work with an all male client group Able to work in a culturally diverse environment Be self directed and confident in your role Able to work across Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon morning shifts each week (7.45am-4.15pm) 32 hours per week

This role is permanent part time and hours worked will be 32 hours per week.

The starting salary for this role will be  $60,528

The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $29.10
