Role and Responsibilities:


As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing tailored learning activities.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students, helping them with their educational and personal development.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supporting students with their social and emotional needs.
  • Helping to manage classroom behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
Requirements:
  • While no formal qualifications are required, a genuine passion for working with children with SEND is essential.
  • Experience in care, support, or personal experience with SEND is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
