About The Role

A successful network engineer will have varied duties, from working on day-to-day tickets with varying levels of complexity, to assisting in the deployment of new projects and services. Managing and improving monitoring systems. Working with a large array of network technologies and services such as Cisco routing, switching, Cisco ISE, Zscaler, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco and Meraki wireless, Solar winds, and many more.

Main responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain complex network solutions. Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and access points using CLI. Administer and optimize Cisco SD-WAN solutions. Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Meraki wireless networks. Monitor and maintain network health using SolarWinds or similar tools. Utilize Cisco DNA Center for network automation and management. Implement and manage both Layer 2 and Layer 3 network environments, including networks operating with OSPF and BGP routing protocols Configure and manage Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) firewalls. Administer and optimize Zscaler Zero Trust Internet Access (ZIA) and Zero Trust Private Access (ZPA) solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operation. About You

Desired skills and knowledge: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent. Proven experience in Cisco CLI, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco and Meraki wireless, L2 and L3 networks, Cisco FTD/FMC, Zscaler ZIA and ZPA. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies. Hybrid requirements: Successful candidates are required to work in the office 3 days  per week if within a commutable distance from Head Office.  Candidates who are located more than 2 hours away from Head Office will be required to attend in-person for 3 consecutive days  every 3 weeks.  A full UK driving licence is a mandatory requirement for this role.
