Role: Network Engineer IV
Location: working from home, based near Newcastle

**Salary**: £45,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience
Additional requirements: SC clearance - advantage if already held but must be eligible to obtain
Looking for an experienced Network Engineer who is familiar with working in a fast-paced, result driven role to support one of well-established clients based in Newcastle.
As a Network Engineer you will be virtual first, mainly working from home, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 with the flexibility to be able to travel to 2 sites in Newcastle if / when required.
As a Network Engineer you will:

- Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional company networks
- Install and configure networking hardware
- Create and implement network security measures
- Mentor junior Network Engineering staff
- Conduct regular network performance tests
- Delegate networking maintenance tasks to junior staff
- Deal with escalated network support issues
- Draw up network status reports
- Deliver network engineering projects and handle advanced support issues
- Monitor and diagnose performance issues
As a Network Engineer you will have experience / skills in:

- Must have current Cisco LAN / WAN - CCNA level experience is required
- Proven experience working as a Network Engineer - this is a high-level role where experience is key
- Extensive experience in Firewalls, LAN/WAN in Cisco, and Aruba comms equipment
- Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, JUNOS, and IOS
- Knowledge of networking hardware including CPUs, wiring, and configuring routers
- Logical thinker when gathering information and incident troubleshooting
- Ability to take ownership of assigned work
- Able to effective prioritisation workload
- Experience with designing and implementing business solutions using common network equipment
- Experience in designing, writing, and updating both system documentation and network diagrams
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
