The startingsalary for a Band 3 is £22,816. This is £ per hour before deductions.Working unsocial hours pays an additional 60% on Bank Holidays and Sundays, andan additional 30% at other times. You will be able to join the NHS pensionscheme, have access to a wide range of NHS discount offers, plus a generousannual leave allowance. Parking on our sites is free.

As a WHCemployee you will also be entitled to apply for a Blue Light discount card andaccess a range of discounts in major shops. We also offer a salary sacrificescheme which may help to spread the cost of those large household items.

Main duties of the job

Working aspart of the therapy team you will be an integral part of the wider communityteam. Our community teams support patients with a range of health needs. Wesupport long term care needs, urgent care, and NHS @ home (virtual wards).

WHC is wellknown as an employer who develops its staff. All band 3 staff are supported tocomplete the Care Certificate. This national award is transferrable to anyhealthcare setting. We also support Band 3 staff to complete their Level 3Diploma in Healthcare Support.

Communitystaff are required to drive. For those using their own car at work the petrolallowance is claimed per mile however you may wish to use the teams pool car atno additional cost to yourself.

Qualifications

Essential

Good general education. NVQ Level 3 in health care (or willingness to undertake). Food Hygiene certificate (or willingness to undertake).

Experience

Essential

12 months experience of working in a care setting. Experience of working under distanced supervision. Experience of supporting others. Experience of confidentiality issues.

Desirable

Experience of community working. Experience of the NHS. Experience of multi-disciplinary team (MDT) working.

Additional Criteria

Essential

Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
