About The Role

Pay:
£15.21 per hour, Monday - Sunday

Driver required? Essential (will need own car to get to work)

Driving Client's Car? Yes, our client's manual car, must be 21+ for insurance purposes. However, if you have your own car with business insurance and it would fit Harvey's wheelchair/walker in then a business mileage would be paid for the use of this.

Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, on duty and to attend trainings

Essential Experience:
Knowledge of traumatic brain injury and severe disabilities would be advantageous

Desirable:

Experience of working with children with special needs (this is preferred but enthusiasm, patience and willingness to learn is desirable) and an interest in therapy programmes.

***Harvey, born in 2012, is a very energetic little boy who really enjoys swimming, horse riding and playing outside. He lives with his mother, father and elder brother who are all very important to him and has wider family and friends who live close by and provide a high level of support.

Harvey has cerebral palsy and epilepsy as a result of meningitis from birth.

Your role will be to support Harvey to participate and enjoy a wide range of leisure activities within the community and at home.

Using your own initiative to ensure Harvey has suitable one-to-one support and to assist him with personal care and daily living activities.


This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person to take direction from The Case Manager and parents to develop existing skills and support this very special little boy.

A truly rewarding role for someone who is able to communicate effectively and an ability to work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion.


Pay and Benefits:

£15.21 per hour, Monday - Sunday

  • Must be able to work with specialist equipment (training will be provided). A Handling Management Plan is available and is designed to reduce the risk of handling injuries, but you may be required to bend, kneel, squat, push or pull.
