Territory Sales Manager - Consumer Health and Nutrition

Right now we have an amazing opportunity for a capable sales individual with a "hunter" mentality to help grow Lonza`s share in the Consumer Health and Nutrition market (Hard Capsules). This person will focus on sales with existing and new customers, identifying and evaluating new business opportunities for the company across the UK/Ire as well as some eastern European territories. You will work closely with divisional and regional business leaders in order to identify and select strategic business opportunities and to define effective plans to secure growth for Lonza by targeting not only the traditional hard capsule needs, but to look for ways to develop business in other areas.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for sales and generating new business & expansion of the customer base through direct customer visits

Must be able to generate and close new business opportunities by promoting current technologies and emerging technologies as they become available

Identifies market trends, assesses market potential and develops strategies to grow Lonza´s market share in the Consumer Healthcare Industries.

Deliver presentations and implement development projects for customer in the Consumer Health & Nutrition market, sets in place and executes the required project plans to close new business.

Provides timely customer support and defines and interfaces with internal resources, when necessary. 

Works with Capsugel marketing, sales and product development to develop strategies that ensures Lonza’s position as a multi products solution provider for customers’ existing products and new product introductions.

Ability to sell and manage to all levels of relationships including President, VP, Director, and CEO of Capsugel customers.

Key requirements:

Bachelor degree in business or technical field, MBA or similar degree

Advanced experience in Strategic Business Planning (including sales, product development, marketing and business development experience)

Commercial background in UK and Ireland markets

Fluent in English and knowledge of an Eastern European language (Polish, Bulgarian or Romanian) is an asset

Flexible, entrepreneurial skills and being able to work under pressure

This position is home based but the person has to be located in UK and needs to travel 60% of the time.
