We are now looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Administrator to cover over 6 months and provide support within our busy finance team.
So, what’s the job about?
You'll join our fast-paced, bustling finance department, where you'll work closely with our Accounts Payable Manager as part of a tight-knit team of six. In this role, you’ll ensure supplier and expense payments are accurately prepared and always processed on time.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for processing weekly, monthly, and ad hoc payments, while efficiently managing direct debits and standing orders. You’ll handle the bank details of new and existing suppliers, ensuring seamless data entry into our ledger. Working closely with internal stakeholders and Marshalls sites, you'll resolve queries and maintain smooth communication.
You’ll manage a portion of the AP ledger, including vendor reconciliations and resolving invoice issues via email and phone. Your expertise will ensure accurate processing of invoices and credit notes using our OCR system, as well as the allocation of direct debit payments. We’re looking for someone with strong accounts payable knowledge who can work independently, guiding and supporting our AP team.
Beyond your core responsibilities, you'll also have the chance to dive into different aspects of accounts payable, gaining exposure to leadership and developing a wide range of skills along the way. While this role starts in the office, once you’re settled, you’ll enjoy a flexible hybrid working setup, with 1-2 days in the office each week.

What skills do you need?
- Experience working in an end-to-end Accounts Payable role
- Ability to support and guide
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Close attention to detail and accuracy
- Be a flexible team member
- We would love to hear from you if you are immediately available and can commit to a 6-month contract
Desirable
- Experience using Microsoft AX Dynamics and D365
- Experience using an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) system
