Reporting to our Estates & Facilities Manager, the successful candidate for this role, will be responsible for managing the contracted services for grounds maintenance, communal cleaning, and the ongoing monitoring of those services throughout the contract period. To ensure and recommend improvements in order to continuously develop those services, achieving value for money and high levels of customer satisfaction, whilst successfully leading a small team.  

The role requires

  • Line Manager responsibilities required, proven ability to manage a team, inspire and be assertive.
  • Assisting the Estates & Facilities Manager in ensuring the targets are set and achieved ensuring high standard of performance in all areas of Estates service. Provide technical/professional advice and guidance to other colleagues.
  •  Proven ability to deal with contractors and customers, setting of appropriate budgets and the effective management of income and expenditure.
  • Skills and knowledge to comply with statutory requirements as appropriate to schemes under your control, in particular Health and Safety and Building Regulations. Maintain awareness of current and new legislation, contractual and best practice requirement
  • Qualifications desired - Level 4 in facilities management or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience and knowledge of JCT Formal Contracts or other relevant experience.
  • Flexible to accommodate work constraints and deal with urgent events that require attendance.
