Job summary

The successful applicant will join our North East and North West Adult CMHTs based at Hellesdon Hospital. Having had CAP posts in the team for two years the role is well established and valued within the team.

The post holder will need to be confident in completing assessments, running groups and delivering psychological interventions in person. They will also be required to support and work collaboratively with our colleagues within the CMHTs.

Main duties of the job

The provision of psychological assessment, formulation, individual and group interventions, for service users with complex presentations. Undertaking appropriate clinical work under the supervision of an HCPC practitioner psychologist. Active participation in multidisciplinary case discussion and formulation meetings. Data gathering for audit and research purposes link. Training, and consultation. This an exciting time to join the team as we continue to develop and deliver a high-quality mental health service for service users in the North Norfolk and Norwich Care Group.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Masters Clinical Associate in Psychology qualification Registered (or in the process of being registered) on the BPS Wider Psychological Workforce register as a Clinical Associate in Psychology

Experience

Essential

Relevant supervised experience of delivering psychological assessments and interventions in [setting/service user group relevant to their specific scope of practice] Experience of working in a setting with Service Users presenting with moderate to severe mental health difficulties

Personal Qulaities

Essential

Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Awareness of their own competence and expertise and work within those boundaries.
