Job summary
As a high performing, experienced senior nurse with a commitment to continuously improving patient safety, quality care and patient outcomes this role could suit you. Working collaboratively with the site chief nurse this role is key to delivering professional standards and the development of leadership capacity within nursing and midwifery. The post holder is responsible for supporting the site CNO with overseeing and co-ordinating the hospital's nursing provision and daily operations - providing support to the group corporate functions.
Working in partnership with group colleagues for the delivery of nursing strategy the post holder will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating quality improvement within the hospital. Ensuring that high quality, safe patient centred services meet the needs if patient/carers and the public.
After many years of collaboration and creating closer working ties, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust and St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust formed a hospital group and appointed a Group Chief Executive in August 2021 (following the appointment of a Chairman in Common in 2019) and a single executive team in January 2022.
As part of the role with be spent at group overseeing compliance with direction from gesh Director of Compliance.
Main duties of the job
Support the CNO to maintain robust clinical governance systems Provide senior nursing input into the nursing establishment review Provide strong, visible leadership to site nursing, AHP and midwifery workforce Responsible for supporting the operational delivery of corporate nursing strategies and functions at site Hold responsibility for day to day patient experience at site Lead compliance programs and projects for delivery at site Work with group and site colleagues to develop the quality strategy, implementation plans for quality improvement, quality assurance and learning from incidents.
