Warehouse Supervisor - Ayr - £28,pa + Benefits is required to support the Shift Supervisor to run the department effectively to enable daily, weekly and monthly objectives to be met. Rotating day shift - 5am till 1pm and and 1pm - 9pm

The Role

We are hiring an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage the warehouse shift team in Ayr to ensure all inbound and outbound activities are completed to plan to deliver excellent service, whilst maintaining high standards of health and safety and cost control. Liaise with other departments to ensure all customer orders are completed on time and in full.

Supports the Shift Manager to run the department effectively to enable daily, weekly and monthly objectives to be met

Working Hours: Rotational Shifts - 5am till 1pm and and second shift 1pm - 9pm

Your role will involve:

Assists with and communicates the daily warehouse plan in line with available resource Monitors progress of the plan ensuring high standards of performance are achieved Be active in preparing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to schedule work in the correct sequence to achieve best results, both inbound and outbound Feeds back performance to the team leaders and teams (OTIF, NPS, H&S) through regular briefings Follows all company procedures and processes relating to HR and Health and Safety legislation Attends meeting where necessary to report on departmental performance. Develops the team, identifying training gaps and performance issues and instigating a plan to improve To deputise for the Shift Manager in their absence To ensure that all new employees receive induction training according to Company Procedures and that it is properly signed off and recorded. To undertake any tasks as reasonably requested by management

Essential Skills

Previous experience of working in Warehousing/Logistics in a similar supervisory role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good understanding of logistics processes and procedures Good problem-solving skills Passionate about great customer service Hard working and conscientious Flexible working to meet strict deadlines

PPT Trained would be desirable but not essential
