Live Services are seeking a number of highly motivated Service Analysts to join our dedicated team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of IT services across the NHS, utilising your knowledge of service management principles and tools.

The Live Services Sub Directorate is responsible for delivering and running a wide range of national digital and data live services that are used by NHS and Social Care professionals and by citizens. We are responsible for ensuring that our digital and data services are delivered ensuring the highest levels of reliability, security, and usability.

What you’ll do

Leverage your understanding of the ITIL framework you will monitor service performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Analyse incidents and troubleshoot issues, working collaboratively to resolve them effectively. Assist in the investigation of underlying problems and implement preventative measures to ensure service continuity. Contribute to the management of supplier relationships, ensuring efficient communication and performance. Maintain clear and accurate records, communicating service updates and actions to relevant stakeholders. Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

About you

You will have the following qualifications and experience: 

Possesses experience working in a service management environment. Have a strong understanding of the ITIL framework and its practical application. Have the ability to utilise service management tools to enhance processes. Have a solid foundation in information systems and their operations. Demonstrates excellent communication (written and verbal) with the ability to engage a diverse audience. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing workload and managing deadlines effectively. Possesses strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Desirable - Familiarity with frameworks such as ITIL Foundation V3/V4, VeriSM Foundation, or similar service management frameworks.
