Role: Year 1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Southport

Salary: £425-£450 per week

Working Days: Mon-Fri (8.45am-3.30pm_

 

Connex Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic, calm, and proactive teaching assistant for an excellent primary school in Southport. The role will involve providing 1:1 support and general classroom support in Year 1. 

A minimum of a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification is required for this role. The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and has a wonderful working environment for staff and children.

The role will initially be until Christmas with the likelihood of it being longer-term for a candidate who can provide a consistent approach to supporting learning in the classroom.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is an essential requirement for this role.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt to different learning.
  • It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain a new one through Connex.
