Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We're looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team and support schools across Southport.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the classroom, working closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Whether providing one-to-one support, assisting small groups, or helping the whole class, your contribution will help students reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
  • Providing tailored support to individual students or groups, including those with additional needs.
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Encouraging and motivating students to engage with their learning.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining classroom standards.

Requirements:

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
  • A calm, patient, and friendly approach to supporting students.
  • A passion for education and helping children succeed.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND or behavioural needs.
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
