The Role Marketing Executive

We now have an exciting new role for an outstanding Marketing Executive to join our dynamic Marketing team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan, develop and implement marketing campaigns to boost brand visibility and engagement across various channels.
  • Lead in delivering high-quality, engaging content for various platforms, including marketing campaigns, on-site promotions, CRM, membership magazine and website content.
  • Work closely with agency partners to ensure the seamless execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Track and analyse campaign performance, ensuring accurate reporting and attribution of marketing efforts.
  • Manage the marketing budget tracker in order to ensure that we achieve the best ROI for any money spent on achieving organisational objectives.
  • Work alongside the Marketing Manager in presenting marketing plans and results to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Deputise for the Marketing Manager on brand and marketing related objectives and projects as and when required.
  • Manage print and signage suppliers and relationship, including contracts and budgets.
  • Build a library of approved brand visuals and video assets for use across offline and online marketing channels.
  • Provide support for photography shoots, filming and events.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in marketing technologies and present these to wider marketing team.
  • Monitor competitors and adjust marketing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.


Our Requirements

  • Higher qualification in marketing related subject (i.e Degree, CIM Diploma) or significant marketing experience, particularly with both online and offline campaign development and execution.
  • A strong understanding of above-the-line and below-the-line media channels, including paid and owned.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Confidence and experience in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of executing successful marketing initiatives and updating website content and using CMS tools.
  • A creative and enthusiastic mind that thrives on generating new ideas, but with a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively. Have flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills, proactive, self-motivated, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing disciplines, including copywriting , CRM, SEO, email marketing, PPC, and social media management.
  • Experience of campaign planning / project management/ managing budgets.
  • Have an interest in Chester Zoo’s mission relating to conservation and education

The Package

  • Contract Type 12-month fixed-term basis.
  • Working Hours- 40 hours per week
  • Salary -£31,223.05
