General Description:

The Director EMEA HEOR will lead the development and execution of HEOR evidence strategies to drive robust market access and test adoption for the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Spain. There will be an opportunity for HEOR leadership across additional regions in alignment with Cepheid’s geographical expansion strategies. Reporting into the Vice President of Global HEOR, in this highly visible position, the Director EMEA HEOR will play a pivotal role in the growth of Cepheid’s evidence generation capabilities. HEOR at Cepheid is part of the Government Affairs & Market Access department. The preferred location for this role is the United Kingdom or DACH region.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Collaborate with cross-functional leadership across Government Affairs, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to assess RWE/modeling data gaps to accelerate the launch and sustained reimbursement of products within Cepheid’s portfolio Serve as an internal subject matter expert that works closely with country affiliates in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Spain to identify global HEOR evidentiary requirements and develop impactful value messages to optimize access and reimbursement Lead the development and implementation of HEOR strategies to demonstrate the value proposition of Cepheid’s testing portfolio across a range of therapeutic areas including infectious diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, and oncology Design and manage HEOR studies including but not limited to targeted/systematic literature reviews, retrospective claims/EMR studies, burden of disease/natural history studies, comparative effectiveness/indirect treatment comparisons, and health economic models Provides European oversight and guidance to country teams to develop effective engagement strategies, robust HTA country dossiers, and to advance best practices in HEOR methodologies and study designs Manage relationships with external researchers and consultants to ensure timely completion of high-quality projects aligned to each test’s specific strategic objective Oversee the development of presentations at scientific congresses and the submission of manuscripts for publication to peer-reviewed journals

Requirements:

MS, MPH, MBA, PhD, PharmD, or MD with minimum of 8 years of relevant HEOR experience in pipeline and marketed products. Advanced understanding of HEOR scientific principles across health economics, real world evidence analyses, epidemiology including direct experience developing dossiers and key deliverables to support reimbursement in major European markets Demonstrated in depth knowledge of market access dynamics and HTA evidentiary requirements Experience with EU5 payers and with HTA organizations such as NICE, GBA, and HAS is required Experience simultaneously managing data generation efforts across multiple therapeutic areas Superior verbal and written communication skills

Travel:

Domestic and international travel may be required up to 25% of your time.

HEOR experience in diagnostics/medical devices Experience with infectious diseases and oncology Experience with identifying and evaluating fit-for-purpose clinical outcome assessments (COAs)
