The successful candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Wellbeing (HSQEW) framework, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices. Key Responsibilities: * Provide expert advice and support to management teams on health, safety, and wellbeing matters * Develop and maintain effective relationships with the HSQE department and operational teams * Manage and maintain effective relationships with internal auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders * Promote a positive health and safety culture and lead by example * Identify and implement initiatives to improve performance and address areas of poor performance * Develop, promote, and monitor the HSQEW culture * Conduct regular inspections and provide timely written reports on findings * Set a personal example by using personal protective equipment and following safety procedures * Undertake and review loss investigations and near miss reporting * Ensure notification and reporting procedures to statutory authorities are carried out * Escalate instances of malpractice, recurring findings, and poor working standards * Assist in the production, review, and monitoring of risk assessments and safe systems of work Qualifications and Training: * Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) – Graduate or Chartered * NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety * Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation * Applicable CSCS Card * Accident Investigation Report Writing Knowledge and Experience: * Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant sector * Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health risks and controls associated with Keltbray business operations * Experience of managing and developing staff Skills and Abilities: * Ability to work autonomously and flexibly, responding to business needs * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Flexibility to change and actively seek constructive feedback * Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organisation * IT literate and a comprehensive understanding of Windows-based programmes Equal Opportunities: Keltbray is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to ensuring that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, or race, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements that cannot be shown to be justifiable.
