Job Description

The BIM Manager will be responsible for delivering projects to BIM Execution Plan, developing and contributing to a wider Architecture & Design digital strategy and implementing and promoting the benefits of smarter automated ways of working. Supporting delivery teams in ensuring that projects run smoothly, and project information models are delivered to the project requirements. The role involves working closely with BIM coordinators who are responsible for managing the digital process.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Ensure compliance with BIM standards and contractual obligations, supporting delivery teams.

  • Manage onboarding, training, and IT mobilization, ensuring efficient information delivery.

  • Oversee task teams, monitor progress, and address any delays promptly.

  • Compile lessons learned and identify training needs for information management.

  • Act as intermediary between stakeholders for efficient project execution.

  • Drive Information Execution Plans and conduct supply chain assessments.

  • Provide strategic Information Management direction, produce reports, and lead digital implementation. Support team development and raise BIM and Digital profile across organization.

  • Contributing to a wider Architecture & Design digital strategy.

Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, leadership in digital management.

  • Persistence, initiative, attention to detail, and sound judgement.

  • Effective time management, flexibility, and openness to change.

Experience:

  • Proven track record in leading information management for large frameworks or programmes of work.

  • Proficiency in IT and implementing industry guidelines like PAS1192 and ISO 19650.

  • Experience in project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and documentation.

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, CAD, and CDE solutions.

  • Experience of working with relevant education in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • Desirable understanding of digital lifecycle stages and multiple digital techniques.
