A growing Consultancy in Edinburgh is now looking an M&E BIM Technician. As an M&E BIM Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the creation and management of detailed 3D models for mechanical and electrical services. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring the seamless integration of M&E systems into complex building designs, thereby influencing the success of construction projects across a diverse range of sectors.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of BIM methodologies and have a proven track record in M&E services within the construction industry. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is essential, as is the ability to produce precise technical drawings and data-rich models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D models for M&E services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure model integrity and project alignment.
- Provide technical support and insight during all project phases.
- Ensure BIM standards, quality control, and best practices are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of an HNC/HND in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrable experience in M&E design and BIM within a construction environment.
- Proficiency with BIM software, particularly Revit MEP and AutoCAD. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
