Organisational Principal Lead Radiographer

Job summary
The purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day provision of the Angiography and FluoroscopyCatheter Suite's Radiological services alongside the Interventional Radiology Service Manager.Reporting directly to the Medical Imaging Manager and collaborating directly with the InterventionalRadiology Manager, the post holder will have responsibility in ensuring the services are run in an efficientmanner and maintain the services at the leading edge of Angiographic and Fluoroscopic Health post holder will contribute to operational coordination in the Angiography / Fluoroscopy environment,managing both elective activity and acute admissions whilst providing high profile clinical specialistsupport to both South Yorkshire Regional services Cardiology, Vascular and Cardiothoracic Directorateand Medical Imaging and Medical Physics (MIMP) Directorate respectively.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is required to maintain effective and efficient communication with all relevant staff groupsand will be key to the operational priorities within the Imaging Suites.
They will be required to maintain effective working relationships with senior staff members across both directorates reporting on and advising on service demands and delivery, advising on the strategic operational demands of the servicein line with present and future needs.
They will be jointly responsible for the delivery of financial, activity, waiting list and waiting time information to all relevant individuals in line with current guidelines for the local governing commissioning bodies, Public Health England and NHSE.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be required to have a good understanding of the daily working operations across the Trust and acknowledge all directorates' services impact across the care ability of the Trust to achieve its targets and service developments is dependent on the efficient service provided by this Directorate both clinically in patient services, and support services maintenance.
The post holder will work alongside the Interventional Radiology Service Manager to provide the management and delivery of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Angiographic, Fluoroscopic and InterventionalRadiology services across multiple sites and supporting multiple directorates and specialties.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
DCR (R), BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent HCPC State Registration DCR or BSc Post registration qualification (professional or managerial) at MSc/PG dip level, or extensive equivalent knowledge and experience in Angiographic Imaging Leadership, supervisory, management qualification or equivalent Teaching, coaching or mentoring qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable
Evidence of project management PRINCE 2 (Projects in controlled Environments) Human Factors training Completed and up to date Radiation Protection Supervisor training.

Recognised experience supervising, supporting and mentoring a range of individuals including Advanced clinical practitioners and senior staff groups Understanding of relevant legislation, national standards, and professional guidelines Evidence of appropriate Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Evidence of leadership experience within a clinical setting relevant to the position. Extensive clinical and managerial experience and technical knowledge of Angiographic and Fluoroscopic imaging Experience of implementing change and leading service development initiatives. Teaching, training and mentoring experience in Angiography and Fluoroscopy, acting as an expert in imaging Proven mentor experience - with positive outcomes. Experience of managing and supervising staff, including recruitment and appraisals Ability to use appropriate management and communication systems and networks, including digital software packages such as radiology information systems, electronic patient and staff records, patient management systems and quality management systems Evidence of working at master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area Experience of implementing policy, service planning and development to ensure deliverance of NHS targets Presentation of own work at a regional or national level

Post registration qualification either professional or managerial at MSc/PG Dip level, or equivalent Experience of financial management, purchasing and commissioning new equipment, capital replacement programmes and procurement processes and asset management. Evidence of operational management experience including budget and policy planning and management Risk, incident and complaints management, audit, research and clinical governance.
