Job Overview:

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Superintendent Radiographer to join the superintendent team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the X-ray service.

Main Duties:

The successful candidate will provide a high quality, responsive diagnostic radiography service as part of a multi-disciplinary team. They will ensure that safe practice is carried out in accordance with departmental protocols and acquire and maintain an excellent level of skill & knowledge in all aspects of radiography.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the radiographic team and encourage and assist them in their own professional development.
  • Maintain positive professional links with other medical and non-medical staff to promote good service and standards within the radiographic speciality.
  • Take daily responsibility for and direct the organisation and work flow within all X-ray departments.

Requirements:

  • DCR or BSc in Radiography.
  • HCPC registration and up to date portfolio.
  • Experience of using a range of digital radiographic and mobile fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Management/supervisory experience.
