AEM Limited has been Europe's leading independent overhaul and repair facility for more than 60 years. The company has a solid reputation in the aerospace industry for providing a broad range of services to international and regional airlines, helicopter operators and airframe manufacturers. Conducting business from three sites in the United Kingdom, AEM offers specialist services for in excess of 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment. In 2007 AEM Limited was acquired by AMETEK Inc, a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices as a unit within AMETEK MRO’s Aerospace and Defense Division, a recognized global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter and business jet markets.

Roles & Responsibilities

Day-to-day team management of the operations office, NDT and Paint sections. Plan and schedule MPBU workload in line with the site production schedule, through Quantum ERP system. Maintain and ensure implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures. Train, motivate and performance manage staff; complete performance reviews, identify training and development opportunities for team members. Manage first level discipline and grievance issues for team members. Maintain the function of plant and equipment to include machine maintenance (preventative and scheduled). Maintain and monitor stock levels of machine shop consumables. Co-ordinate the efficient use and organisation of resources and equipment to meet the production schedule. Plan for and support the implementation of new product development initiatives. Ensure strict compliance and implementation of all safety standards. Ensure component work is undertaken in accordance with procedures from CMM’s and overhaul manuals. Liaise with the customer support team to facilitate achievement of efficient and effective customer service levels
