**Role overview**
Join our dynamic and expanding company as a Transport Supervisor, where you will play a vital role in our thriving transport team. As an integral member of this team, you will oversee designated transport operations, ensuring adherence to defined objectives and fulfilling day to day operational needs.
The Transport Supervisor will maintain continuous communication with drivers and collaborate closely with our Transport Manager. They will actively contribute to identifying improvement opportunities and initiatives with the transport team and hold monthly reviews with the team to identify development opportunities which align with the company vision and mindset. Additionally, the supervisor will ensure compliance with legislative updates. We are inspired by perfection and dedication to service to ensure we exceed our customer expectations.
**Responsibilities**
- The smooth running of the allocated transport shift, ensuring appropriate resources (people, equipment etc.) are available to meet planned activity levels.
- Compliance to all statutory legislation including Employment and Health and Safety legislation within the transport department
- Ensure that all elements of the job are communicated effectively to employees.
- Be responsible for vehicle maintenance and monitor all defects and faults.
- Record and report via the appropriate channels all vehicle and driver incidents and accidents
- Plan all routes for the drivers, ensuring smooth and timely dispatch.
- Keep up to date with, implement and adhere to CPC and Tachograph requirements.
- Ensure drivers are fully trained and motivated to deliver excellent customer service, to exceed our customer expectation
- Work to the processes and procedures relating to the transport operation and debrief drivers in accordance with the Company requirements.
- Assist in the recruitment of transportation staff as required.
- Monitor staff performance levels, providing feedback to the employee and to the Transport Manager on achievements and/or concerns and help to identify improvement opportunities.
- Regular and open communication with drivers on shift matters and working processes.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with our Drink Warehouse UK Staff at all depots.
**Key Skills**
- Desirable valid and up to date Transport/Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Clean driving license.
- FLT licence advantageous
- Experience in transport planning and staff supervision.
- Proven organisational skills, including planning and problem solving.
- Previous experience delivering excellent customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
- A conscientious, proactive and positive approach to duties
- Flexible working attitude.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft word and Excel.
There would need to be a level of flexibility to your working day with changes in potential start and end times which meet the demands of our customers.

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
