Position: School House Parent

Location: NN2, Northampton

Are you passionate about nurturing and guiding young minds in a supportive and diverse environment? I’m currently working with my client school based in NN2 who are a prestigious boarding international school located in the heart of Northampton and are actively seeking dedicated and compassionate House parents to join their team as of September 2024.

Responsibilities include

  • Student welfare – Provide pastoral care and support to students ensuring their well-being, safety and happiness during their school life
  • Community building – Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the boarding house encouraging respect, cooperation and friendships amongst the students
  • Daily supervision – Oversee daily routines, including wake-up, study time, and bedtime
  • Guidance and mentorship – Offer personal guidance and academic support
  • Communication – Maintain open and effective communication with parents, teachers and school administration staff regarding student progress and concerns

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a pastoral and/or educational role, preferably in a boarding school setting
  • A degree in Education, Psychology, social work or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Being a patient, empathetic, and resilient person

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
