• Handle a high volume ofphone calls and maintain patient database
• Maintain daily work queues and documentation
• Provide technical assistance with agency issues servicesand programs
• Maintain and create files forrecordkeeping systems
• Sort labelelectronically file and retrieve documents or other materialsincluding those from the HPE overnight process
• Collect and review patient information to determinepatient eligibility
• Complete Medicaidapplications online using the FSSA Benefits Portal
• Prepare and review documents for accuracy andcompleteness
• Communicate clearly promptly andpositively with patients coworkers and clients
• Maintain confidentiality at all times (i.e. PHI HIPAA andHITEC)
• Exemplify the mission vision and corevalues of the client in all personal and professional settings andbe a role model to all associates
• Collaboratewith supervisor to identify personal learning needs and set goalsusing available resources
• Maintain workingknowledge of departmental and hospital policies and procedures byparticipating and reading updates and other communicationprovided
• Collaborate with team members tosupport their efforts through teamwork and the acceptance ofadditional assignments

• High school diploma orequivalent educational levels
• Computerproficiency (required)
• Ability to quicklygrasp and navigate through multiple systems and EMRseffectively
• At least one year of combinedexperience working and training as a Patient Advocate or otherrelated jobs
• Working knowledge of HIPAA FDCPAand Red Flags regulations
• Considerableknowledge of Medicaid programs
• Considerableknowledge of the Federal Marketplace
• Generalknowledge of all agency and community programs and services thatcould affect clients and applicants
• Ability tomultitask (speaking on the phone searching databases and typing)effectively
• Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills
• Ability to work well in afastpaced changing environment
• Goodmathematical reasoning and computational skills
• Ability to read analyze and interpret rules regulationsand procedures
• Ability to communicate withclients applicants the public at large and public officials toobtain data explain and interpret rules regulations andprocedures
