Our Bathgate facility has an opening for a Supply Chain Leader to join our busy and patient focused supply chain operations team, within our Clinical Development and Supply business . Reporting to the General Manager, the Supply Chain Leader will direct all facets of our supply chain management operations. This includes but not limited to, purchasing, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management and control, material forecasting, functional capacity planning and sourcing, S&OP planning, and financial costing as well as leadership of Supply Chain Operations teams.

Projects vary in size and complexity and scope will also be flexible as you will be tasked with supporting Global Project Management teams, Multi site or Lead Project Management activities and initiatives for clients in this fast paced, quality led environment.

The Role

Builds and develops a committed team to manage all aspects of area of responsibility as it applies to order fulfilment, including such business processes as order and personnel planning and scheduling, continuous improvement in productivity, quality and business processes and cost control.

Work with the Business Unit Leaders and Project Management to develop and implement a site planning and scheduling process that maximizes customer satisfaction, while optimizing cost effectiveness.

Work with the Business Unit Leaders and Project Management to lead an initiative to optimize the site supply chain to reduce cycle time and minimize inventory levels.

Develop and implement an appropriate site procurement process that optimizes inventory and working capital and concurrently, links with business development to ensure a process of business recovery of cost changes as appropriate.

Working with the Business Development Team, develop innovative supply chain processes that provide market differentiation.

Working with the Business Development Team, develop and implement an appropriate process for capacity planning and S&OP.

Manage planning function to ensure effective work order/purchase order creation and maintenance.

Responsible for driving performance improvements in the key indicators for supply chain optimization, including MRP effectiveness, schedule adherence, reduced obsolescence and reduced inventory on hand.

Develops and sustains customer relationships through direct interaction, responsiveness and accountability. Maintains open communication with customers using appropriate tools as necessary.

Participate in Customer meetings and off-site visits and customer resolution

Candidate Requirements

Proven related industry experience.

Excellent communication (verbal and written), organisational and interpersonal skills are required for this position

Able to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables

Self-motivated and able to lead, follow-up and drive.

Leads strategic discussion, identifies and drives process improvement initiatives that support team, broader company initiatives, and oversees delivery of those assigned to team.
