About theRole:

We are seeking a highlymotivated and enthusiastic Design Technology teacher to join ourdynamic department. This is an exciting opportunity to play apivotal role in igniting a passion for design and problemsolving instudents equipping them with valuable technical skills andfostering creative thinking.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Plandeliver and evaluate engaging and stimulating Design Technologylessons across the curriculum catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 78)and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 911) in line with the NationalCurriculum.
  • Utilize a variety of teachingmethods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all studentscan develop their design and practical skills effectively (planningconstruction using a variety of materials and tools).
  • Encourage creativity and problemsolving skills fosteringa culture of experimentation and innovation in the designprocess.
  • Contribute to the ongoing developmentof the Design Technology curriculum ensuring it aligns with theschools vision national requirements and the latest advancements indesign education (e.g. integrating technology sustainabilityprinciples).
