The Vacancy

We are looking to appoint a talented and dedicated professional to this key role in the higher education team at Newcastle College University Centre and across NCG.

NCG is a large national college group with HE delivery at Newcastle College University Centre, Carlisle College, and Kidderminster College. NCG also offers collaborative partnerships to award degree programmes at other providers. This post will be based at the Newcastle College University Centre campus in Newcastle upon Tyne.

NCG currently has over 2, full and part-time students studying at HE level, across an exciting range of subjects and qualifications including Masters, Honours and Foundation Degrees.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage and co-ordinate NCG’s HE quality assurance and enhancement processes and procedures. The successful candidate will join NCG at an exciting time as we implement our HE Strategy to grow and develop high quality HE provision. At NCG you will work collaboratively to co-create a HE experience that is distinctive to the needs of the community it serves, while having qualities of transformative, highly vocational study and a curriculum of compassion.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have a HE background together with experience of promoting best practice in learning, teaching and assessment.

Specific responsibilities will include:

leading on and managing HE quality assurance and enhancement processes and procedures, monitoring programme performance against baselines, including data analysis, providing advice and guidance to curriculum staff to promote high quality programmes and an outstanding student experience, developing and delivering training and development to staff of NCG awards.
