Job summary

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an Operational Support Administrator to join Clinical Delivery Group 1A Specialist Medicine. The post holder will be joining specialties at an exciting time where we continue to focus on our recovery, working on new opportunities to improve / transform our services and overall experience for our patients.

The successful post holder will work as part of a team providing comprehensive Administration / Co-ordination support to operational management, ensuring this is patient focused and patients receive a compassionate and professional service.

Working in conjunction with colleagues, patients, service users and internal and external stakeholders. The post holder will work under indirect supervision and will directly contribute to and co-ordinate the efficient running of the service, ensuring that a seamless approach to patient care is delivered.

The role demands excellent prioritisation skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach. You will need to be resilient, flexible to changing daily priorities and remain calm under pressure. Main duties of the job

To provide business support to the Operational Management team to support the delivery of safe and effective services within the CDG, ensuring that all targets, deadlines and objectives are delivered as appropriate.

To work collaboratively with the digital transformation team to provide project management support to ensure the delivery of the new digital initiatives within specialties.

To actively ensure the most effective deployment of resources to deliver activity, capacity and demand as required.

Ensure local Key Performance Indicators are monitored and escalated.

Attend operational meetings relevant to capacity and demand planning.

To monitor utilisation of clinical resources.

To ensure all patients clinical appointments are booked within target time and take immediate action to resolve any issues.

Assist with the planning and delivery of departmental meetings including collating data and information, creating presentations and capturing minutes and actions where required.

*Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C GCSE LEVEL 9-4 *Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an Administrative environment

*Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience *Experience of working in a Secretarial/ Administrative role with a proven track record of problem solving *Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience *Good Organisational skills *Able to use own initiative and deal with the unpredictable *Able to work under pressure and to multi-task *Able to work to deadlines
