Main purpose and scope for the role:  

· The Maintenance assistantwill provide support in all maintenanceprograms. They will ensure that all maintenance objectives are conducted in arespectful and responsible way, ensuring that all decisions and actions complywith the relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

· The Maintenance assistantis responsible for helping to support the maintenance and safe operation of the electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and otherfacility related systems.

Otherresponsibilities of the role:

· Supports and assists withemergency and planned maintenance repairs and coordinate repairs to buildingsand property infrastructure.

· Assists in the regular maintenance of theelectrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems as directed.

· Assists with landscapingand grounds maintenance.

· Assists with the safeoperation of boilers, heating and ventilation systems.

· Assists with maintenanceand repairs of finishing, ceilings, flooring and roofing.

· Assists with maintenanceand repairs to appliances and plant equipment.

· Maintains safe and healthywork environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legalcodes and regulations.

· Helps to identify areas ofimprovement and suggest solutions with cost analysis.

· Reporting of malfunctioningsystems, apparatus, and components.

· Review work orders toensure proper documentation.
