ROLE SUMMARY We are for looking someone with broad knowledge but not specialist in App support and infrastructure. Applications, End User Support. Responsible for the efficient operation and support of applications within the Mechanical Design Department at MBDA UK. Specializing in, identifying, and solving problems and advising users
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Support Engineer will: Provide extensive end user support for Mechanical Design application at MBDA (UK) for over + users. Be responsible for delivering support across UK sites – Stevenage, Bolton, and Filton. Assist MBDA (UK) in the definition of best practice and processes associated with Mechanical Design applications.
COMPETENCIES:
Good knowledge of application/s support Develop effective resolutions for user problems and system errors. Adaptability to different personalities and levels of user knowledge. Confidently be able to present complex subjects to different target audiences. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work autonomously. st/nd level operations experience with Application support team or service desk Experience of working to SLA's Problem determination skills Self motivation Ownership and management - Able to work alone on tasks once trained Methodical - Common sense Communication skills Problem triage Team player Aptitude Quick Learner Professionalism KEY SKILLS
Windows experience Onsite availability Working within a Support team environment Sec Clearance Must be willing to apply for DV Sec clearance if not already held SQL Awareness Analytical skills Log analysis competency Window server knowledge and above Window OS skills - Strong App Packages VM's Enterprise services Experience – Active Directory/Client/Certificate Services/Keystores/IIS Web Services/Apache Tomcat Security Patching Release management and Change management Problem Management Root Cause Analysis skills
